We are delighted to have achieved our 25th year in business from August 2022. We feel like it is such an important milestone for us as an SME that we should do something special to commemorate it, but how do you celebrate the 25th Anniversary? We sat down and began to evaluate where we came from, where we are now and where we would like to go in the future. What is very clear throughout all of this is that our key assets are our staff and our loyal customers.
In 25 years since 1997, we have had some truly great people work with us, add their stamp and personality, and contribute to our success. Many of these had, and in some cases continue to have very long and successful careers with us, something we are immensely proud of, and continue to strive for in the future.
In my time at Carry Cargo as Sales Director and now M.D and Business Owner this tradition of employing the very best people we can has continued, and I believe we have a perfect blend of age, experience, youth and innovation. Their commitment to our customers, suppliers, and Carry Cargo, has been nothing short of remarkable, especially over the last 2 years with Brexit and a global pandemic to deal with, creating the most challenging times in my 30 years in freight. This determination to do their very best with what is now a flawed and somewhat broken supply chain infrastructure in our industry, leaves them facing difficult challenges on a daily basis and yet still going above and beyond for our customers is a huge credit to them all.
So how do we begin to celebrate our 25th Anniversary? Firstly, by taking all our staff on a thoroughly deserved and well-earned Weekend break to the Algarve!! Our offices will close from 1 pm Fri 9th Sept as we fly out to Portugal and re-open on Tues 13th Sept. We have contingency plans in place and, as always, we remain operational and contactable for any urgent enquiries via email and phone. We will be adding further details from now and throughout August to keep you all advised.
As we said, our loyal customers will also feature in our plans and events as we intend to make this a year-long celebration. Please keep an eye on our socials and the news blog on our website for some exciting customer focussed events to help us celebrate in 2023.
It just remains for me to thank all the people and businesses we have known and worked alongside over the last 25 years who have made this possible, we are truly indebted to you all….. Thank You!!
