Import Account Manager (internal)
Leeds Offices – Stourton – LS10 1DS
Job Summary
Main contact Point of for allocated clients, providing a full Import Service to them & other customers and Agents whilst working as a team member within a busy freight office.
Duties will include
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with allocated clients and suppliers to grow new and existing business.
Work closely & support colleagues here in the UK & Overseas as part of a dynamic team, to ensure all aspects of work within the dept are covered professionally.
Share relevant information with colleagues and assist in the training of any new staff.
Negotiate rates in LCL/FCL/ Airfreight/Roro & Road freight with shipping lines/ airlines & suppliers, providing customers with accurate and timely quotations.
Making bookings in accordance with instructions received, ensuring all information is recorded accurately on all relevant operating systems.
Monitor the shipments progress throughout its journey with us, liaising with all interested parties and keeping the clients updated especially where any changes happen. Advising your immediate line managers of any serious issues that may need further attention.
Complete all necessary paperwork including Customs formalities/ Import Documentation.
Arranging release and booking of deliveries with the carriers and 3rd party hauliers alike.
Hours; 0830 – 5 pm ( 1 hr break)
